The Persian Cultural Association of South Australia is disturbed by the tragic loss of life last Sunday the 21st of March at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
During the New Year's celebrations of International day of Nowruz, a traditional time of reconciliation and peace making, a non-Persian individual is alleged to have stabbed his estranged wife.
The Persian Cultural Association consistently promotes harmony, peace and understanding amongst its diverse membership and the wider community in tune with traditional Persian values. It condemns any act of violence.
This association expresses its deepest condolences to the victim’s family and wishes them strength and patience in the light of this horrible tragedy.
'' I invite everyone in spirit of Nowruz to remain calm and pray for the victim and her family in this difficult time'' said Dr. Behnia-Wilson, the president of the Persian Cultural Association. She also requests the media to respect their privacy at such an emotional time.
The details of the funeral will be announced in due course.
